Adult Education
Education and inspiration for adults
Adult Sunday School Classes
- A variety of topics and leaders. The weekly bulletin lists the current
schedule. Classes meet in the Wesley Room or the Library. Adult classes
always take place Sunday mornings from 10-10:45AM, and occasionally other days and
times of the week.
Young Adult Sunday School Classes -
WHAT IS 18229? In addition to being the Zip Code to the
city of Jim Thorpe, PA, 18229 is also the name of a new Sunday School class geared
for those of you in the 18 to 29 year age range. This class will continue in the
Fellowship Hall on Sunday at 10:00 am. We will be discussing topics specifically
for the college and young adult age group. This class will be led by Dan Pouchot
and Kay and Roger Cramer (they used to be young!). Make it a point to join in for
some Sunday morning fellowship with those facing the same challenges of school and
starting careers.
A Bakerstown Beginning -
A class led by
Rev. Mark Stewart on Sunday mornings. An introduction to the church is ideal
for new members and those considering joining the church. Come learn a little
history, and about our visions for the future, and how God is at work among us.

AM/PM Bible Study on The Gospel of John -
Starting in September and continuing until... Join us to study one of the most wonderful books in the bible. Two times are available to make it easier for you to fit
this in your schedule. Class meets Tuesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30PM and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 - 10:30AM.
Eat and Discuss Monday evenings
6:30 - 8:30PM starting September 15th
This popular class returns for a study on "Hard sayings
of the Bible." We wil meet for 8 to 9 weeks. Cost will be $20 which includes
meals and materials. See John

Womens Bible Study
- A Beth Moore Study "Wising
W. Whereever Life Happens:
Wisdom for Women from the Book of Proverbs." The class meets Monday evenings
at 6:45PM and Thursday mornings at 9:00AM.
Disciple III
- Starting September 24th at 6:30PM. Join Shirley Shipley
as she continues to teach this exciting class. We take an in-depth look into the major and minor Old Testament prophets, with the exception of Daniel, and will
read the thirteen Letters traditionally attributed to Paul. Each student will
require a study guide, cost is $25.
